All of our country ham products are handcrafted and made from nearly a century of experience. Our E.M. Burger Private Stash - Attic Aged Half Country Ham is created from a fresh ham that's hand-rubbed with a simple salt, sugar, black pepper mixture, then cured & aged for over 210 days for a bold flavor that's distinct to our country ham.

Next, it's fully cooked and expertly packaged to guarantee safe arrival at its destination. It comes with our complimentary ham glaze and is available unsliced or spiral sliced.

Since it's fully cooked, this ham can be served at room temperature or slightly heated.

How To Prepare Country Half Ham

  • Allow 2-3 days for ham to thaw in refrigerator (if frozen).
  • Take thawed ham out of the refrigerator 45 minutes before heating.
  • Remove packaging from ham and discard plastic film, foil, and any bone guard.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
  • Proceed to heating instructions.

Helpful Hint: The flavor is outstanding straight from the refrigerator or warming for 30 minutes - great for special occasions.

How To Heat Country Half Ham In The Oven

Easy Method:

  • Place ham in roasting pan with the cut surface down. Cover with foil.
  • Put ham in oven for 45 to 55 minutes
  • Take ham from oven, cover with foil, and let rest 15 minutes.
  • Glaze, if desired.

Baking Bag Method:

  • Place ham in baking bag with the cut surface down.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of flour.
  • Close bag and tie.
  • Make 2-3 slits in top of bag to let steam escape.
  • Place ham in roasting pan with the cut surface down. Cover with foil.
  • Put ham in oven for 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Take ham from oven and let rest 15 minutes.
  • Remove ham from bag and glaze, if desired.

How To Glaze Your Country Ham

Helpful Hint: Ham does NOT have to be heated to be glazed.

  • Remove baking bag if used during heating.
  • Turn oven temperature to low broil.
  • Place ham back in roaster pan.
  • Microwave honey glaze for 30 seconds until glaze becomes thin and runny.  CAUTION: Glaze will be very hot!
  • Brush glaze over ham.
  • Place back in oven for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, apply more glaze and return to oven.
  • Continue until desired color and glaze coating is achieved.

Cherries or canned pineapple may be used for additional garnish.
CAUTION:  Fresh pineapple laid across ham will cause it to become mushy.
