FIRST PLACE WINNER AT THE BLUE RIBBON BACON FESTIVAL
We sure are proud of our First Place Award in the "Dry Cured" category at The Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival. Thousands attended what is billed the nation's largest and most prestigious bacon festival. Throughout the day our team cooked and gave away hundreds of pounds of bacon to eager attendees. There smiles told the rest of the story!
Relay For Life
The employees of Burgers' Smokehouse joined together for many years to help fight cancer by having a team participate in the Moniteau County Relay For Life. Their team name was named "Burgers' Country Curers" and they held fund-raisers each year to raise funds for the well attended community event.
Their fund-raisers included selling biscuits and gravy to employees at morning breaks, selling mums in the fall, serving pork roast dinners, having rummage sales and the most popular was the "Queen" and "Pie in the Face" contest.
Over the years, Burgers' Country Curers were proud to say they raised over $100,000 to help fight cancer through research and by helping those locally who were struggling with the disease. Burgers' Smokehouse employees considered this project to be rewarding and enjoyed having fun together while doing good for others.
Team members always appreciated the support from Management during their effort to raise funds for Relay For Life. With their support, their team was able to reach their goals.
