How To Make Stewed Country Ham Shanks

  • Cover ham shank with boiling water.
  • Simmer covered from 1½ to 3 hours.
  • You may add potatoes for the last ½ hour of cooking.
  • Greens or cabbage may be added during the last 20 minutes.
