Beef Stew


One 15 oz. can of carrots
One 15 oz. can of green beans
One 15 oz. can of potatoes
One 15 oz. can of onions

Drain all of the above cans of vegetables. Place in a large sauce pan.
Add the following:

1/2 cup of dry wine
1 cup of beef consomme
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
1/4 cup of tapioca
1 tablespoon brown sugar
One and 1/2 tablespoon of salt
bay leaf(optional)
pepper(to taste)
3 lbs. stew meat(cut fine)
One 15 oz. can of tomatoes and juice


Mix together and cook in covered pan for 6 to 7 hours in a 250 degree oven.
Serve hot.
