3 cups sugar
3/4 cups light corn syrup
3/4 cups water
2 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry jello
1/2 cup flaked cocoanut
1 cup pecans (chopped) |  |
| INSTRUCTIONS: |  |
| Combine 3 cups sugar, 3/4 cup light corn syrup and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook to hard boil stage, 252 degrees, stirring occasionally. Combine beaten egg whites and jello. Beat until mixture forms peaks. Pour hot syrup in a thin stream into the egg whites, beating until it loses gloss and hold shape. Foil in cocoanut and nuts. Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan. |  |
