8 miniature Milky Way candy bars
1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 and 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
Milky Way Cake Frosting:
3 miniature Milky Way candy bars
1/2 cup margarine
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
Melt together 8 miniature Milky Way candy bars and 1/2 cup of margarine. In a large mixing bowl cream 1/2 cup of margarine and 2 cups of sugar. Blend in 4 eggs, one at a time, and add 2 teaspoons vanilla.
In a mixing bowl mix 2 and 1/2 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. To the above creamed mixture alternately add dry mixture and buttermilk. Fold in 1/2 cup of chopped pecans.
Pour mixture into a greased and floured 9x13 inch baking dish. Place a preheated 300 degree oven, and bake for 60 minutes. Remove and let cool.
In a sauce pan melt together three miniature Milky Way candy bars and 1/2 cup of margarine.
Remove from heat and add one teaspoon of vanilla, and mix. Add one cup of powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Add more powdered sugar as needed until the frosting is of good spreading consistency. Ice cake.
