Butter Crunch:
1-1/4 cup butter
4 teaspoons light white syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts (coarsely ground)
1-2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Topping:
1/2 pound chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (finely ground) |  |

Butter Crunch:
In a heavy sauce pan, combine all six ingredients and cook to 300 degrees. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
Topping:
Melt the chocolate chips, add cup of nuts and mix. Spread mixture over the candy mixture on the buttered cookie sheet. Let harden, and break into pieces. |  |
